William Good

Someone’s trash is always another person’s treasure…and Nick Graham is capitalizing off that. CEO of The 100 Minute Company and founder of Joe Boxer, Nick Graham, has teamed up with Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties to launch William Good, a new brand of repurposed clothing and accessories. Under Nick Graham’s artistic direction, each piece will be reconstructed from post-retail donations that have been recycled or salvage and re-designed into original, one-of-a-kind creations. The entire line has minimal environmental impact and all William Good clothing will be made from reused materials. The line will include men’s and women’s tops, bottoms, dresses, suits and accessories, and will be sold at a range of price points.

All of the items are remade in San Francisco and shoppers can purchase the newly re-made line in Goodwill’s Fillmore Street store in San Francisco and online at www.shopwilliamgood.com, starting in November 2007. Each item is cleaned and enhanced before being sold, and embellishments range from silk screening to unique sewing patterns. “Not only will the William Good brand create value out of discarded goods, it will also provide a whole new level of design, marketing, and sales training for our staff and our participants who have barriers to employment,” said Goodwill CEO Deborah Alvarez-Rodriguez in a recent press release. And no new line would be complete without a runway show. William Good will be previewed as part of LA Fashion Week on October 15th.
